Toolkit 1:Stills

For these, I tried to use only black, white and grey to create these stills by using the polygonal lasso tool, and then I refined someone them by adding colour to them.

 I have two favourites that I did in today's toolkit lesson today. The first is the landscape with the trees and arches. I like this piece because of the background I made adds to the shapes I made that creates the image. I really like how the trees add a strong contrast to the piece.

My other favourite is the first How to train your dragon still I did. For this one, I really like the shapes I made with the polygonal lasso tool as I matched the scene well. Another reason this is one of my favourites is the way I highlighted the shapes and gave it more details.

Here is the start of my thumbnails for our Project Invisible Cities, Focusing on the city Armilla. One of the main thing which I though Armilla looked like was that this city of pipes, baths and taps were on a platform that overflowed over the edge and created a waterfall effect as he said it could be seen as enchanting like a teacup and saucer was overflowing. I feel like my lines could have been clearer so it is easier to see the thumbnails and what everything is.

Invisible Cities Thumbnails (Ersilla)

Here are some more of my thumbnails for our Project Invisible Cities, Focusing on the city Ersilla. I really like these thumbnails because of the shading to some of them as I feel it adds more depth to these quick sketches. My favourite thumbnail is 53, which shows what I imagine the houses of Ersilla to look like. It is my favourite as I like the way I have positioned the house/tent along with my shading.
