Invisible Cities Thumbnails (Armilla)

Here is the start of my thumbnails for our Project Invisible Cities, Focusing on the city Armilla.
One of the main thing which I though Armilla looked like was that this city of pipes, baths and taps were on a platform that overflowed over the edge and created a waterfall effect as he said it could be seen as enchanting like a teacup and saucer was overflowing.

I feel like my lines could have been clearer so it is easier to see the thumbnails and what everything is.

  2. Great stuff, Grace - get in there! :D. Really exciting to see you moving around the aspect ratios of your thumbnails - using portrait and landscape to explore different views! Don't be afraid of drawing what you see first - and then putting the frame around the drawing to tighten up the composition - a bit like looking at what you've imagined through the view-finder of a camera, and only then taking the final image when you're happy with the framing. Sometimes drawing to the edge of a 'box' can sort of cramp or trap your instincts - draw first maybe, frame second? Anyway, give it a go :)

  3. Hi Grace, looking good, I like how you've used the blue to mark out the water. I like 22 and 16 :)
